Where in France do the South Africans come from?

I recently came across this map representing the areas in France where the French Huguenot Settlers lived before moving to South Africa in the 17th century. Since I am partly from French decent, I found it really interesting!

You will see the well known Afrikaner surnames like: Jacobs, du Preez, Delport, Mouton, du Toit, Nortje, Senekal, Viljoen, Naude, Nel, le Rouz, Marais, Viviers, Cronje, Fourie, Malherbe, Celliers, Pienaar, Retief, Rousseau (Rossouw), Bruwer, du Plesis, Bruwer, de la Bat, de Villiers, Gouws, Meyer, Lombard, Jordaan, du Rand, etc.
